RIP Funeral of well-known preacher and evangelical broadcaster, Dr Charles stanley Held at church On Tuesday, the world learned of the passing of the Rev. Charles Stanley, a renowned evangelical preacher and founder of "In Touch Ministries," which he used to reach audiences across the globe. Stanley spent over 50 years preaching at the First Baptist Church of Atlanta, which became one of the first mega-churches in Atlanta. During his tenure, he launched a global broadcasting empire that became famous worldwide. News of Stanley's death has prompted reactions from people around the world, including from other religious leaders. Andrew Young, a former United Nations ambassador and Atlanta mayor, expressed his gratitude for Stanley's years of service, saying that he had been blessed by Stanley's preaching and prayers. The senior pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, Jamal Bryant, called Stanley a broadcasting legend and a role model, and praised his heart of compassion and servant leadership. Stanley's followers also shared their memories and sadness over his passing. Lisa Ryan spoke of his warm smile and big embrace, and Ernest Carter explained why so many people around the world were drawn to Stanley's teachings. Many of Stanley's followers felt that he was like a family member, and that he had a true pastor's heart. Despite the sadness of his passing, Stanley's family released a statement celebrating his life and legacy. Stanley was inducted into the National Religious Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame in 1988 and was often referred to as "America's Pastor."
